Bio
As Marc Hardman’s daughter, Katharine began working at Marc Hardman & Associates whilst in high school if someone called in sick during the school holidays.
Katharine completed a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism and Media) in 2012 and after a trip to Europe came back and announced to her father, Marc, that she would like to pursue law. His response was “I always knew you would”.
She undertook the Juris Doctor, a postgraduate Law Degree at the University of New South Wales graduating in 2016, and then undertook the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW all in the same year.
After working as a paralegal for a specialist Wills & Estate firm during her law degree, Katharine commenced working full time at Marc Hardman & Associates in 2017.
Katharine currently manages our property development team and oversees all aspects from document preparation, through to negotiations, exchanges, registration, and settlement.
She also assists a range of clients from first home buyers through to investors in relation to the purchase and sale of their property. An area of her property law practice that Katharine finds great joy in is helping her clients with their moves into aged care and retirement villages.
When she is not knee deep in contracts, Katharine helps our clients with their estate planning and estate administration. She is passionate that this area of law should be dealt with in a sensitive manner, to provide calm and kind guidance through what is often the most distressing and confronting moments of people’s lives.
In 2018, Katharine completed the Legal Practice Management Course through the College of Law which has qualified her to practice as a Principal of a law practice.
Outside of the office, you will find Katharine going on long coastal walks with our fur employee, Archie (her black labradoodle). You can also find her on the ski slopes, taking short trips to anywhere with a winery and spending every moment she can spoiling her two nieces as much as humanly possible.
